The Only Way OUT is THROUGH

Dear One,

“The only way out is through,” my LA holistic chiropractor Eileen said to me with great compassion many years ago.

I am a tough nut. I signed up for a 17 year long Dark Night of the Soul.

It included company separation, loss of my tribe and best friend, disease, miscarriages, divorce and a wildfire. Just to name a few. At one point I felt my middle name was Letting Go or Change.

When I was IN it, meaning in one of these life-changing events, I struggled. I resisted. I refused to accept what was happening. I fought the good fight, I thought. I did not want to feel. I got confused, disoriented, hardened, frustrated, angry.

I just wanted to be done with it.

When I walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in 2006, I saw the same message over and over – everywhere: “the Journey is the Destination”.

Our THROUGH might be THE journey of your life-time. It certainly  wishes to tell and teach you so much. The message might be different for different people. One change event might have to do with clearing karma (if you believe in that). One event might be a huge soul lesson that you chose to learn, yes YOU. One event might have been co-created by your negativity – ouch, I know that one. (the Law of Attraction is always at work)

YOUR GIFT:

Bottom Line is – it’s not about the OUT, the gifts lie in the THROUGH.

Can we SURRENDER to what is and continuously ask ourselves: What is it that I need to understand? What am I healing here? How can I grow from this? How can I respond rather than react? How did I co-create that? How can I take full self-responsibility.

Please, please, please don’t beat yourself over the head.

RATHER: Experiment with it. It works. Believe me, I had a lot of practice in it.

sending tons of compassion, Joya
